Hadith 173

Hadith.5141 - Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub narrated from Ali ibn Ri'ab from Durays from Abu Jafar Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) who said
"The legal punishments (hudud) that are the rights of Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, cannot be pardoned except by the Imam. However, when it comes to the rights of people in a legal punishment, there is no harm if it is pardoned without the Imam's involvement."
5141 - وَ رَوَى اَلْحَسَنُ بْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رِئَابٍ عَنْ ضُرَيْسٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"لاَ يُعْفَى عَنِ اَلْحُدُودِ اَلَّتِي لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ دُونَ اَلْإِمَامِ فَأَمَّا مَا كَانَ مِنْ حَقِّ اَلنَّاسِ فِي حَدٍّ فَلاَ بَأْسَ أَنْ يُعْفَى عَنْهُ دُونَ اَلْإِمَامِ ".
