Hadith 2218

32. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from ‘Rib‘iy ibn ‘ Abd Allah from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“I once asked Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), if ’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.) prohibited reading al-Quran in a bathhouse. He (the Imam) said, ’No, however, he prohibited reading while nude but if one has a loincloth on him, then it is not harmful.
علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه، عن حمادبن عيسى، عن ربعي بن عبدالله، عن محمد بن مسلم قال
سألت أبا جعفر عليه السلام أكان أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام ينهى عن قراءة القرآن في الحمام؟ قال: لا إنما نهى أن يقرء الرجل وهو عريان فأما إذا كان عليه إزار فلا بأس.
