Hadith 1706

2. Muhammad ibn Ja‘far has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Ibn abu Ya’fur ibn abu Ya’fur-Hamid from Sayf ibn ‘Amirah from Mansur ibn Hazim who has said that narrated to me abu Basir from ibn abu Ya’fur who have said the following
“We once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘A wine addict is not one who drinks every day, he however, is one who settles his soul upon drinking it whenever he finds it.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَصِيرٍ وَ ابْنُ أَبِي يَعْفُورٍ قَالَا سَمِعْنَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ لَيْسَ مُدْمِنُ الْخَمْرِ الَّذِي يَشْرَبُهَا كُلَّ يَوْمٍ وَ لَكِنِ الَّذِي يُوَطِّنُ نَفْسَهُ أَنَّهُ إِذَا وَجَدَهَا شَرِبَهَا .
