5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Aban from ‘Abd af-Rahman ibn ‘ A‘yan who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘When a man wants to marry a woman he should say, “I authenticate my covenant with Allah which is: “maintain in a reasonable way or allow to go with kindness.” (2:229)’”
