Al-Husayn b. Ibrahim b. Natana (ra) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from Sayf b. `Umayra from `Abd al-Rahman b. Salama from Abi Ishaq from al-Harith from `Ali (as). He said
Whoever says, “Glory be to Allah when you sleep and when you wake. All praise is His in the heavens and the Earth, at night and at midday” (30:17-18) three times when he goes to sleep, the goodness of that night will not avert him, and its evil will be repelled from him. Whoever says this when he wakes, the goodness of that day will not avert him, and its evil will be repelled from him.
