Hadith 597

`Ali b. Ahmad b. `Abdullah b. Ahmad b. Abi `Abdillah al-Barqi (ra) narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to me from his grandfather Ahmad b. Abi `Abdillah from `Ali b. al-Hakam from Aban b. `Uthman from Bashar b. Yasar from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as). He said
If you want something of good, then do not delay in it, for if a worshiper fasts on a hot day wanting what is with Allah, Allah will free him from the Fire; and if he gives in charity wanting the face of Allah, Allah will free him from the Fire.
12 - حدثنا علي بن أحمد بن عبد الله بن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله البرقي (رضي الله عنه)، قال: حدثني أبي، عن جده أحمد بن أبي عبد الله، عن علي بن الحكم، عن أبان بن عثمان، عن بشار بن يسار، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام)، قال
إذا أردت شيئا من الخير فلا تؤخره، فإن العبد ليصوم اليوم الحار يريد به ما عند الله عز وجل، فيعتقه الله من النار، ويتصدق بصدقة يريد بها وجه الله، فيعتقه الله من النار (3).
