Hadith 925

8. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Barqiy from Sa‘d ibn Sa‘d al-Ash‘ariy who has said the following
“I once asked al-Rida’ (a.s.), about the chickens in a village which move around unrestricted. They may pass by feces freely and eat thereof and about their eggs. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الدَّجَاجِ فِي الدَّسَاكِرِ وَ هُمْ لَا يَمْنَعُونَهَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ تَمُرُّ عَلَى الْعَذِرَةِ مُخَلًّى عَنْهَا وَ عَنْ أَكْلِ بَيْضِهِنَّ فَقَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ .
