Hadith 116
Al-Hasan b. Ahmad (rh) narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to us from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. `Isa from Al-Hasan b. Mahbub from Jamil b. Salih from al-Fudayl b. Yasar from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as). He said
A memorizer of the Quran is one who acts by it; he will be with the righteous, noble [angelic] scribes.
6 - حدثنا الحسين بن أحمد (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا أبي، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن الحسن بن محبوب، عن جميل بن صالح، عن الفضيل بن يسار، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد (عليهما السلام)، قال
الحافظ للقرآن العامل به، مع السفرة الكرام البررة (2).

Hadith 117
Muhammad b. al-Hasan (rh) narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. al-Hasan b. Aban narrated to us from al-Husayn b. Sa`id from al-Nadr b. Suwayd from Yahya al-Halabi from Muhammad b. Marwan from Sa`d b. Turayf from Abi Ja`far al-Baqir from his father from his grandfather (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever recites ten verses a night will not be recorded among the heedless. Whoever recites fifty verses will be recorded among those who remember (al-dhakirin). Whoever recites one hundred verses will be recorded among the submitters. Whoever recites two hundred verses will be recorded among the devout. Whoever recites three hundred verses will be recorded among the winners. Whoever recites five hundred verses will be recorded among the strivers. Whoever recites one thousand verses will be assigned a quantity of wealth equal to fifty thousand gold weights; each weight is twenty-four carats – the smallest of which is the size of Mount Uhud, and the largest of which is like that which is between heaven and Earth.
7 - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا الحسين بن الحسن بن أبان، عن الحسين بن سعيد، عن النضر بن سويد، عن يحيى الحلبي، عن محمد بن مروان، عن سعد بن طريف، عن أبي جعفر الباقر، عن أبيه، عن جده (عليهم السلام)، قال
قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): من قرأ عشر آيات في ليلة لم يكتب من الغافلين، ومن قرأ خمسين آية كتب من الذاكرين، ومن قرأ مائة آية كتب من القانتين، ومن قرأ مائتي آية كتب من الخاشعين، ومن قرأ ثلاثمائة آية كتب من الفائزين، ومن قرأ خمسمائة آية كتب من المجتهدين، ومن قرأ ألف آية كتب له قنطار، والقنطار خمسون ألف مثقال ذهب، والمثقال أربعة وعشرون قيراطا، أصغرها مثل جبل احد، وأكبرها ما بين السماء والارض (3).

Hadith 118
My father (rh) narrated to us. He said: Ahmad b. Idris narrated to us from Muhammad b. Ahmad from Muhammad b. Hassan from Isma`il b. Mehran from al-Hasan b. `Ali b. Abi Hamza al-Bata'ini from al-Husayn b. Abi'l `Alaa' from Abi `Ubayda al-Kadha' from Abi Ja`far al-Baqir (as). He said
Whoever recites the mu`awadhatayn and qul huwallahu ahad in witr, it is said to him: "O servant of Allah! Be glad, for Allah has accepted your witr."
8 - حدثنا أبي (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن إدريس، عن محمد بن أحمد، عن محمد بن حسان، عن إسماعيل بن مهران، عن الحسن بن علي بن أبي حمزة البطائني، عن الحسين بن أبي العلاء، عن أبي عبيدة الحذاء، عن أبي جعفر الباقر (عليه السلام)، قال
من أوتر بالمعوذتين و (قل هو الله أحد) قيل له: يا عبد الله، أبشر فقد قبل الله وترك (1).

Hadith 119
Al-Husayn b. Ibrahim (rh) narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim narrated to us from his father Ibrahim b. Hashim from Abdullah b. Maymun from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Whoever travels a path seeking knowledge, Allah makes him travel a path to Paradise. Surely, the angels put their wings on a seeker of knowledge that they become pleased with. Those in the heavens and the Earth - even the whales in the ocean - seek forgiveness for the seekers of knowledge. The virtue of the scholar over the worshiper is like that of the full moon over the stars. The scholars are the inheritors of the prophets, for the prophets do not bequeath gold or silver, but they bequeath knowledge - whoever takes from it has taken an abundant omen.
9 - حدثنا الحسين بن إبراهيم (رحمه الله)، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم، عن أبيه إبراهيم بن هاشم، عن عبد الله بن ميمون، عن الصادق جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن آبائه (عليهم السلام)، قال
قال رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): من سلك طريقا يطلب فيه علما، سلك الله به طريقا إلى الجنة، وإن الملائكة لتضع أجنحتها لطالب العلم رضى به، وإنه ليستعفر لطالب العلم من في السماء ومن في الارض، حتى الحوت في البحر، وفضل العالم على العابد كفضل القمر على سائر النجوم ليلة البدر، وإن العلماء ورثة الانبياء، إن الانبياء لم يورثوا دينارا ولا درهما، ولكن ورثوا العلم، فمن أخذ منه أخذ بحظ وافر (2).
