Hadith 647
1. It was narrated to me by Muhammad b. Muhammad from his father from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Isa from al-Hassan b. Mahbub from Umar b. Yazid and I do not know it except from Abi Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“One who recites Astaghfirullaaha wa atoobu ilaih seventy times in Salaat-e- Witr for one year the Almighty Allah will write him among those who repent at dawn and it will become obligatory on Allah, the Mighty and Sublime to forgive him.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِیسَی عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ یَزِیدَ وَ لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنْ أَبِی عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ
مَنْ قَالَ فِی وَتْرِهِ إِذَا أَوْتَرَ- أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَ أَتُوبُ إِلَیْهِ سَبْعِینَ مَرَّهً وَ هُوَ قَائِمٌ فَوَاظَبَ عَلَی ذَلِکَ حَتَّی مَضَی لَهُ سَنَهٌ کَتَبَهُ اللَّهُ عِنْدَهُ مِنَ الْمُسْتَغْفِرِینَ بِالْأَسْحارِ وَ وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْمَغْفِرَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ.
