1. [1/175] Rijal al-Kashshi: Muhammad b. Qulawayh from Sa’d b. Abdallah b. Abi Khalaf al-Qummi from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Isa from Abdallah b. Muhammad al-Hajjal from al-Ala b. Razin from Abdallah b. Abi Ya’fur who said
I said to Abi Abdillah عليه السلام – I cannot meet you at all times and it may be impossible to travel [to reach you], it happens that a man from among our companions comes and asks me – but I do not have something [an answer] for everything that he asks me about [what should I do?]. He عليه السلام said: What prevents you from [going to] Muhammad b. Muslim al-Thaqafi – for he had heard [narrations] from my father and had a most favorable position with him.
[1/255] رجال الكشي: محمد بن قولويه، عن سعد بن عبد الله بن أبي خلف القمي، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن عبد الله بن محمد الحجال، عن العلاء بن رزين، عن عبد الله بن أبي يعفور قال
قلت لأبي عبد الله عليه السلام: إنه ليس كل ساعة ألقاك و لا يمكن القدوم، و يجي‏ء الرجل من أصحابنا فيسألني و ليس عندي كلما يسألني عنه، قال: فما يمنعك من محمد بن مسلم الثقفي فإنه قد سمع من أبي و كان عنده وجيها
