I heard Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, speaking with regards to the dead person when his eye sheds a tear at (the moment of) death. He said: That is when he is to be observed by the Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, during which he will see that which makes him rejoice and which he loves. He said: Then he said: Do you not see a man, he sees what rejoices him and what he loves, during which his eye will shed a tear and he will smile?
