Hadith 661

3. Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan Al-Saffār, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Aḥmad ibn Abī Dāwūd, from Sa’d ibn Abī ‘Amr Al-Jallāb, from Ḥārith Al-A’war, who said
‘Ali, (the Commander of the Believers (a.s.)), said: May I sacrifice my father and mother for Ḥusain who will be killed on the outskirts of Kūfah. I swear to Allāh that it is as if I can see the different kinds of wild animals stretching their necks to his grave, crying and weeping over him throughout the night until dawn. When this happens, beware of neglecting him (his grave).
3 وَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ عَنْ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْجَلَّابِ عَنِ الْحَرْثِ [الْحَارِثِ الْأَعْوَرِ قَالَ
قَالَ عَلِيٌّ (ع) بِأَبِي وَ أُمِّي الْحُسَيْنَ الْمَقْتُولَ بِظَهْرِ الْكُوفَةِ وَ اللَّهِ لَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْوَحْشِ مَادَّةً أَعْنَاقَهَا عَلَى قَبْرِهِ مِنْ أَنْوَاعِ الْوَحْشِ يَبْكُونَهُ وَ يَرْثُونَهُ لَيْلًا حَتَّى الصَّبَاحِ فَإِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فَإِيَّاكُمْ وَ الْجَفَاءَ
