Hadith 1863

13. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Ali ibn Hadid from Murazim ibn Hakim from ‘ Abd al-‘A’la’ Mawla’Ale Sam who has said the following
“Ali ibn al-Husayn, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, lived in serious financial condition and people of al-Madinah began to speak about it. It came to his notice. He assigned one thousand dirham and sent it to the governor of al-Madinah saying, ‘It is the charity due on our assets.’”
عَنْهُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَدِيدٍ عَنْ مُرَازِمِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى مَوْلَى آلِ سَامٍ قَالَ
إِنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) اشْتَدَّتْ حَالُهُ حَتَّى تَحَدَّثَ بِذَلِكَ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ فَبَلَغَهُ ذَلِكَ فَتَعَيَّنَ أَلْفَ دِرْهَمٍ ثُمَّ بَعَثَ بِهَا إِلَى صَاحِبِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَ قَالَ هَذِهِ صَدَقَةُ مَالِي .
