Hadith 1478

7. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from A number of his people from Ali ibn Asbat from abu Muhammad al-Jawhariy from Sufyan ibn ‘Uyaynah who has said the following
“I once heard Ja‘far ibn Muhammad (a.s.), saying, ‘Eating quince removes the intensity of sadness just as the hand wipes perspiration from the forehead.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ عِدَّةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيِّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ السَّفَرْجَلُ يَذْهَبُ بِهَمِّ الْحَزِينِ كَمَا تَذْهَبُ الْيَدُ بِعَرَقِ الْجَبِينِ .
