8. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Qutaybah al-‘A’sha’ who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Three handfuls of dry sawiq before breakfast absorbs phlegm and bile and it almost does not leave anything behind.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ قُتَيْبَةَ الْأَعْشَى عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
ثَلَاثُ رَاحَاتِ سَوِيقٍ جَافٍّ عَلَى الرِّيقِ يُنَشِّفُ الْبَلْغَمَ وَ الْمِرَّةَ حَتَّى لَا يَكَادَ يَدَعُ شَيْئاً .
