Hadith 1140

5. Abu Ali al-Ash’ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Kufiy from ‘Ubays ibn Hisham from abu Jamilah from abu Hamzah who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘If one learns that a servant of the servants of Allah has lied in what he had said, disregarded his promise and betrayed his trust with what he was entrusted, then considers such person trustworthy, it becomes a right before Allah, most High to afflict him with it without any recompense or give him any reward for his suffering.’”
5- أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْكُوفِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْسِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مَنْ عَرَفَ مِنْ عَبْدٍ مِنْ عَبِيدِ اللهِ كَذِباً إِذَا حَدَّثَ وَخُلْفاً إِذَا وَعَدَ وَخِيَانَةً إِذَا اؤْتُمِنَ ثُمَّ ائْتَمَنَهُ عَلَى أَمَانَةٍ كَانَ حَقّاً عَلَى اللهِ تَعَالَى أَنْ يَبْتَلِيَهُ فِيهَا ثُمَّ لا يُخْلِفَ عَلَيْهِ وَلا يَأْجُرَهُ.
