Hadith 1191

11. (Muhammad b. Ya’qub Al Kulayni): Ali ibn Muhammad and others have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn al-Walid Shabab al-Sayrafi from Malik ibn ’Isma‘il al-Nahdi from ‘Abd al-Salam ibn Harith from Salim ibn abu Hafsa al-‘Ijli from Abu Ja‘far (a.s) who has said the following
“The Messenger of Allah had three qualities that no one else had. He did not have any shadow. Whatever path he would walk even after two or three days one could still notice his passing thereby due to his fragrance that remained along the path. On his passing by, every stone and tree prostrated before him out of respect.”
11ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَغَيْرُهُ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ شَبَابٍ الصَّيْرَفِيِّ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ النَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ السَّلامِ بْنِ حَارِثٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ الْعِجْلِيِّ عَنْ ابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
كَانَ فِي رَسُولِ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) ثَلاثَةٌ لَمْ تَكُنْ فِي أَحَدٍ غَيْرِهِ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ فَيْءٌ وَكَانَ لا يَمُرُّ فِي طَرِيقٍ فَيُمَرُّ فِيهِ بَعْدَ يَوْمَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاثَةٍ إِلا عُرِفَ أَنَّهُ قَدْ مَرَّ فِيهِ لِطِيبِ عَرْفِهِ وَكَانَ لا يَمُرُّ بِحَجَرٍ وَلا بِشَجَرٍ إِلا سَجَدَ لَهُ.
