Hadith 468

5 - Narrated to us Muhammad ibn Ya'qub, who said: Several of our companions informed us from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Ali ibn al-Nu'man, from Muhammad ibn Marwan, from al-Fudayl ibn Yasar, who said
I heard Abu Ja'far (Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (as)) saying, "Whoever dies without an Imam, his death is like the death of the people in the time of ignorance (Jahiliyyah), and whoever dies while recognizing his Imam, whether this matter (Imamate) comes sooner or later, his status is like someone who stands with the leader in his troops."
5 - أخبرنا محمد بن يعقوب قال: حدثنا عدة من أصحابنا، عن أحمد بن محمد، عن علي بن النعمان، عن محمد بن مروان، عن الفضيل بن يسار، قال
سمعت أبا جعفر يقول: من مات وليس له إمام فميتته ميتة جاهيلة، ومن مات وهو عارف لإمامه لم يضرّه تقدم هذا الأمر أو تأخر، ومن مات وهو عارف لإمامه كان كمن هو قائم مع القائم في فسطاطه.
