Hadith 978
10-6 Abū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī b. Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan, more commonly known as Ibn Maqburah al-Qazwīnī, narrated to us, he said: Abū ʿAbd Allāh Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. al-Muʾammil narrated to us, he said: Muḥammad b. ʿAlī b. Khalaf narrated to us, he said: Naṣr b. Muzāḥim Abū al-Faḍl al-ʿAṭṭār narrated to us, he said: ʿAmr b. Khālid narrated to us; from Zayd b. ʿAlī; from his father (ʿas); from Zayd's grandfather, Imam al-Ḥusayn (ʿas) who said that the
Commander of the Faithful (ʿas) said, "I possess ten distinctive characteristics given to me by the Messenger of God (ṣ), each one of which is more valuable to me than everything over which the sun rises. He had said to me, 'You are my brother in this world and the next. You are the closest creation to me at the Halting Place. You are the Vizier, Legatee, and Caliph over the people and property. You are the one who bears my standard in this world and the next. Your friend is my friend, and my friend is God's friend. Your enemy is my enemy, and my enemy is God's enemy.'"

قال أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام:كان لي من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله عشر خصال ما أحب أن لي بإحداهن ما طلعت عليه الشمس قال لي: أنت أخي في الدنيا والآخرة، وأقرب الخلائق مني في الموقف، وأنت الوزير والوصي والخليفة في الاهل والمال، وأنت آخذ لوائي في الدنيا والآخرة، وليك وليي ووليي ولي الله، وعدوك عدوي وعدوي عدو الله

This and the following ḥadith both come from the book (kitāb) of ʿAmr b. Khālid al-Wāsiṭī. This text, which was transmitted from him by the historian and traditionist Naṣr b. Muzāḥim, was a collection of narrations from Zayd b. ʿAlī, as noted by Sayyid al-Khūʾī in Muʿjam. Compare these two and the following aḥādīth in this chapter with Amālī al-Mufīd, sess. 22, ḥad. 4, a ḥadīth cited from Ibrāhīm b. Muḥammad al-Thaqafī, the author of K. al-Ghārāt, quoting Ibn Abī Shaybah, quoting ʿAmr b. Maymūn, whom Sayyid al-Khūʾī posits in his Muʿjam to be ʿAmr b. Abī al-Miqdām.

Hadith 979
10-7 Muḥammad b. ʿAlī Mājīlawayh, may God be pleased with him, narrated to us, he said: Muḥammad b. Abū al-Qāsim narrated to me; from Muḥammad b. ʿAlī al-Kūfī, he said: Naṣr b. Muzāḥim al-Minqarī narrated to me; from Abū al-Khālid; from Zayd b. ʿAlī b. al-Ḥusayn; from his forefathers (ʿas), from ʿAlī (ʿas) who said
"I possess ten distinctive characteristics given to me by the Messenger of God (ṣ), which he never gave to any after me. He had said to me, 'You are my brother in this world and the next. Your place of standing will be the closest of anyone to mine on the Day of Judgement. Your house and my house face one another in the Garden, in the manner of the house of two brothers. You are the legatee, the successor, and the vizier. Your enemy is my enemy, and my enemy is God's enemy. Your friend is my friend, and my friend is God's friend.'"
10-7 حدثنا محمد بن علي ماجيلويه رضي الله عنه قال: حدثني محمد بن أبي القاسم عن محمد بن علي الكوفي قال: حدثنا نصر بن مزاحم المنقري، عن أبي خالد، عن زيد بن علي بن الحسين، عن آبائه، عن علي عليهم السلام قال
كان لي عشر من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله لم يعطهن أحد قبلي ولا يعطاهن أحدا بعدي قال لي: ياعلي أنت أخي في الدنيا والآخرة: وأنت أقرب الناس مني موقفا يوم القيامة، ومنزلي ومنزلك في الجنة متواجهين كمنزل الاخوين، وأنت الوصي، وأنت الولي، وانت الوزير، وعدوك عدوي وعدوي عدو الله، ووليك وليي ووليي ولي الله

Hadith 980
10-8 Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. al-Ṣaqr al-Ṣāʾigh narrated to us in Rayy, he said: Muḥammad b. al-ʿAbbās b. Bassām narrated to us, he said: Muḥammad b. Khālid b. Ibrāhīm narrated to me, he said: Ismāʿīl b. Mūsā al-Thaqafī narrated to me, he said: ʿAbd Allāh b. Muḥammad informed me; from his father; from ʿAmr b. Shimr; from Jābir b. Yazīd; from Muḥammad b. ʿAlī al-Bāqir (ʿas); from his father (ʿas); from his grandfather, Imam al-Ḥusayn (ʿas) who said that ʿAlī (ʿas) said, "
I possess ten distinctive characteristics given to me by the Messenger of God (ṣ) more pleasing to me than everything over which the sun rises and sets." One of his companions requested of him, "Tell us about them, ʿAlī." He (ʿas) answered, "I heard the Messenger of God (ṣ) say, 'O' ʿAlī, you are the legatee, the vizier, and the Caliph over the people and property. Your friend is my friend, and your enemy is my enemy. You are the chief of the Muslims after me. You are my brother and the closest creation to me at the Halting Place. And you are my standardbearer in this world and the next.'"
10-8 حدثنا أحمد بن محمد بن الصقر الصائغ بالري قال: حدثنا محمد بن العباس ابن بسام قال: حدثني محمد بن خالد بن إبراهيم قال: حدثني إسماعيل بن موسى الثقفي قال: أخبرني عبد الله بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن عمرو بن شمر، عن جابر بن يزيد، عن محمد ابن علي الباقر، عن أبيه، عن جده عليهم السلام قال
قال علي عليه السلام: كان لي من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله عشر خصال: مايسرني بإحداهن ما طلعت عليه الشمس وماغربت، فقال له بعض أصحابه: بينها لنا يا علي، قال عليه السلام: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله يقول: يا علي أنت الوصي، وانت الوزير، وانت الخليفة في الاهل والمال، ووليك وليي، وعدوك عدوي، وأنت سيد المسلمين من بعدي وأنت أخي، وأنت أقرب الخلائق مني في الموقف، وانت صاحب لوائي في الدنيا والآخرة

Note that this tradition comes from the corpus of traditions transmitted by ʿAmr b. Shimr from Jābir b. Yazīd al-Juʿfī, which cover a vast amount of topics. This historical report is not the only one transmitted by him from Jābir, as fragments of his work which survive in quotations also preserve fragments of Jābir's now lost Maqtals of Imam ʿAlī (ʿas) and Imam al-Ḥusayn (ʿas). It is hard to determine, on the face of it, which of Jābir's historical works this fragment may have come from, if any.

Commander of the Faithful (ʿas) said, "I possess ten (distinctive characteristics) given to me by the Messenger of God (ṣ), each individual one of them pleases me more than everything over which the sun rises. He said to me: 'You are my brother in this world and the next. Your place of standing will be the closest of anyone to mine on the Day of Judgement. Your house will face my house in the Garden, in the manner that two brothers in God face one another. You are my standardbearer in this world and the next. You are my legatee, my inheritor, and my caliph over the people and wealth and Muslims in every absence of mine. Your intercession is my intercession. Your friend is my friend, and my friend is God's friend. Your enemy is my enemy, and my enemy is God's enemy.'"
10-9 حدثنا أبي رضي الله عنه قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن أحمد بن إسحاق بن سعد، عن بكر بن محمد الازدي، عن بعض أصحابنا، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال
قال أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام: كان لي من رسول الله صلي الله عليه وآله عشر ما يسرني بالواحدة منهن ما طلعت عليه الشمس قال: أنت أخي في الدنيا والآخرة، وأنت أقرب الناس مني موقفا يوم القيامة، ومنزلك تجاه منزلي في الجنه كما يتواجه الاخوان في الله، وأنت صاحب لوائي في الدنيا والآخرة، وأنت وصيي ووارثي وخليفتي في الاهل والمال والمسلمين في كل غيبة، شفاعتك شفاعتي، ووليك وليي ووليي ولي الله، وعدوك عدوي وعدوي عدو الله

Bakr b. Muḥammad al-Azdī was among the incredibly long-lived Shīʿah (muʿammarūn) who had short chains of transmission. He had a book (kitāb) transmitted from him by Abū Ṭalib ʿAbd Allāh b. al-Ṣalt al-Qummī, al-ʿAbbas b. Maʿrūf, and Aḥmad b. Isḥāq b. Saʿd. The former two are noted in the ṭarīq of Shaykh al-Ṭūsī, while the latter is the source for both Shaykh al-Ṣadūq's tradition here and al-Najāshī's ṭarīq, which takes a different path from Aḥmad b. Isḥāq.
