Hadith 5
5. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from certain individuals of his people from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Asamm from Haydarah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that Jihad (serving in the army) is the most virtuous task except obligatory (prayers) matters.”
5- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأصَمِّ عَنْ حَيْدَرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
الْجِهَادُ أَفْضَلُ الأشْيَاءِ بَعْدَ الْفَرَائِضِ.

Hadith 11
11. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn Mahbub in a marfu’ the following: “Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ‘
Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, has made Jihad obligatory, considered it great and has made it His victory (support) and supporter. By Allah, the worldly affairs as well as religious affairs are never enhanced without Jihad.”
11- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَرَضَ الْجِهَادَ وَعَظَّمَهُ وَجَعَلَهُ نَصْرَهُ وَنَاصِرَهُ وَاللهِ مَا صَلَحَتْ دُنْيَا وَلا دِينٌ إِلا بِهِ.
