The Juice (grape juice)

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Juice (grape juice) is not unlawful until it boils.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not unlawful to drink juice (grape juice) up to six days.’ Ibn abu ‘Umayr has said, ‘It means that it does not become intoxicating liquor and unlawful before it comes to a boil.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about drinking juice (grape juice). He (the Imam) said, ‘You can drink it before it is boiled. Once it is boiled then do not drink.’ I then asked saying, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, what is boiling?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is fluctuation (fermentation) and change.’”

“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘When juice (grape juice) begins to simmer or boil it becomes unlawful to use it for drink.’”
