Hadith 57

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ibn Faddal from abu Ishaq, Tha’labah ibn Maymun from a man whom he has mentioned who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, The truest name is that which expresses one’s slavery to (Allah) and the best of them are names of the Prophets.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَدْ سَمَّاهُ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
أَصْدَقُ الْأَسْمَاءِ مَا سُمِّيَ بِالْعُبُودِيَّةِ وَ أَفْضَلُهَا أَسْمَاءُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ .
