28-63 (The author of the book narrated) my father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa’d ibn Abdullah quoted on the authority of Yaqoob ibn Yazid, on the authority of Obayd ibn Hilal that he had heard Abul Hassan Al-Ridha (s) say, “I like that a believer be an innovator.” Obayd ibn Hilal asked the Imam (s), “What do you mean by innovator?” The Imam (s) replied, “I mean that he be one who understands things.”
