Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl
Hadith 951 أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِیِّ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص إِذَا ظَهَرَ الْعِلْمُ وَ احْتُرِزَ الْعَمَلُ وَ ائْتَلَفَتِ الْأَلْسُنُ وَ اخْتَلَفَتِ الْقُلُوبُ وَ تَقَاطَعَتِ الْأَرْحَامُ هُنَالِکَ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ فَأَصَمَّهُمْ وَ أَعْمی أَبْصارَهُمْ
1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “If knowledge is visible in a person and he does not act on it i.e. his words and actions do not match and if he breaks relations, Allah makes him deaf and blind.”
