Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl
Hadith 674 أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ الْحُسَیْنِ الْکُوفِیُّ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُغِیرَهِ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ یُصِیبَ أَهْلَ الْأَرْضِ بِعَذَابٍ یَقُولُ لَوْ لَا الَّذِینَ یَتَحَابُّونَ فِیَّ وَ یَعْمُرُونَ مَسَاجِدِی وَ یَسْتَغْفِرُونَ بِالْأَسْحَارِ لَوْلَاهُمْ لَأَنْزَلْتُ عَلَیْهِمْ عَذَابِی.
1. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Ali b. al-Hussain al-Kufi from his father from Abdillah b. al-Mughira from al-Sakuni from Ja’far b. Muhammad from his forefathers (a.s.) who said: “But for those who love each other, build mosques and repent at dawn, I would surely have chastised the people of the earth.”
