Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl

أَبِی ره قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْهَیْثَمِ بْنِ أَبِی مَسْرُوقٍ النَّهْدِیِّ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِیلَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ قَالَ: کَتَبْتُ إِلَی أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع عَلِّمْنِی شَیْئاً إِذَا أَنَا قُلْتُهُ کُنْتُ مَعَکُمْ فِی الدُّنْیَا وَ الْآخِرَهِ قَالَ فَکَتَبَ بِخَطٍّ أَعْرِفُهُ أَکْثِرْ مِنْ تِلَاوَهِ إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَاهُ وَ رَطِّبْ شَفَتَیْکَ بِالاسْتِغْفَارِ.
4. My father (rah) said: it was narrated to me by Sa’d b. Abdillah from al-Haytham b. Abi Masruq al-Hindi from Ismail b. Sahl who said: The narrator wrote to Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) to let him know those deeds, which will keep him along with Imam (a.s.) in this world and the hereafter. Imam (a.s.) replied, “Recite Innaa anzalnaa (Surah Qadr) extensively and your tongue should not stop from repenting.”
