Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl
Hadith 190 أَبِی ره حَدَّثَنِی عَلِیُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِیمَ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِیِّ عَنِ السَّکُونِیِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِیهِ عَنْ آبَائِهِ ع قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِعَبْدٍ خَیْراً بَعَثَ إِلَیْهِ مَلَکاً مِنْ خُزَّانِ الْجَنَّهِ فَمَسَحَ صَدْرَهُ وَ یُسَخِّی نَفْسَهُ بِالزَّکَاهِ. وَ قَالَ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ ع فِی وَصِیَّتِهِ اللَّهَ اللَّهَ فِی الزَّکَاهِ فَإِنَّهَا تُطْفِئُ غَضَبَ رَبِّکُمْ.

Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his father that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “Whenever Allah wants to offer something good to His slave He sends the angel who is the treasurer of Paradise to that person. That angel strokes the chest of that slave and he would get the virtue of paying Zakat.” Amirul Momineen (a.s.) says in his will, “By Allah, be careful about Zakat because it silences the anger of your Lord.”
