Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl

Hadith 1085

وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ: دَعَا رَجُلٌ بَعْضَ بَنِی هَاشِمٍ إِلَی الْبِرَازِ فَأَبَی أَنْ یُبَارِزَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَلِیٌّ ع مَا مَنَعَکَ أَنْ تُبَارِزَهُ فَقَالَ کَانَ فَارِسَ الْعَرَبِ وَ خَشِیتُ أَنْ یَغْلِبَنِی فَقَالَ لَهُ إِنَّهُ بَغَی عَلَیْکَ وَ لَوْ بَارَزْتَهُ لَغَلَبْتَهُ وَ لَوْ بَغَی جَبَلٌ عَلَی جَبَلٍ لَهَلَکَ الْبَاغِی.
5. And from the previous chain who said: “If he has done injustice to you, you should have fought with him and overpowered him, because if a mountain does injustice to another, Allah destroys the unjust mountain.”
