Thawāb al-Aʿmāl wa ʿiqāb al-Aʿmāl
Hadith 1020 وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ص مَا اقْتَرَبَ عَبْدٌ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ إِلَّا تَبَاعَدَ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَ لَا کَثُرَ مَالُهُ إِلَّا اشْتَدَّ حِسَابُهُ وَ لَا کَثُرَ تَبِعَتُهُ إِلَّا کَثُرَتْ شَیَاطِینُهُ.
1. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “One who becomes proximate to a king is away from Allah. His wealth might have increased but his accounting will be tough. The number of his followers must have increased but all of them are devils.”
