Nahj al-Balāgha
Hadith 1664٣٣. وَقَالَ (عليه السلام): كُنْ سَمَحاً وَلَا تَكُنْ مُبَذِّراً، وَكُنْ مُقَدِّراً وَلَا تَكُنْ مُقَتِّراً.
33. Amīr al-mu’minīn, peace be upon him, said: Be generous but not extravagant; be thrifty but not miserly.
