Hadith.4139 - Commander of the Faithful (as) said regarding a hunted animal that was found with an arrow in it and was dead, but it was not known who killed it.
Imam (as) said: "Do not eat it."
And Imam (as) said: "Whoever wounds an animal with a weapon and mentions the name of Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, upon it, and then the game remains for a night or two, and he finds it without a predator having eaten from it, and he knows that his weapon killed it, then he may eat from it, if Allah (swt) wills."
