Al-Khiṣāl

10-2 My father, may God be pleased with him, narrated to us; he said: Saʿd b. ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, from Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. ʿĪsā, from al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī al-Faḍḍāl, from Ibn Bukayr, from Muḥammad b. Muslim, from Abū Jaʿfar (ʿas), who said: “The Messenger of God (ṣ) has ten names, five of which appear in the Qurʾān and five of which do not. As for the ones which appear in the Qurʾān, they are Muḥammad (ṣ), Aḥmad, ʿAbd Allāh, Yāsīn, and Nūn, and as for the ones which do not appear in the Qurʾān, they are al-Fātiḥ, al-Khātim, al-Kāfī, al-Muqaffī, and al-Ḥāshir.”
