Al-Kāfi
Hadith 744الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ مَا أَخَذَتِ الْحِبَالَةُ فَقَطَعَتْ مِنْهُ شَيْئاً فَهُوَ مَيِّتٌ وَ مَا أَدْرَكْتَ مِنْ سَائِرِ جَسَدِهِ حَيّاً فَذَكِّهِ ثُمَّ كُلْ مِنْهُ .
3. Al-Husayn from Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu ‘Abd Allah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Whatever of a prey is caught in the snare is dead and whatever of the rest of the body you find alive, slaughter it properly; then you can use it for food.’”
