Al-Kāfi
Hadith 557عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ يُؤْلِي مِنِ امْرَأَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا قَالَ لَا يَقَعُ الْإِيلَاءُ حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ بِهَا .

A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from ‘Abd al-Karim from abu Basir who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man’s ’ Ila ’ (swearing) against his wife before going to bed with her. He (the Imam) said, ‘ 7/a’ (swearing) does not take place until one goes to bed with his wife.’”
