15. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman from Shu’ayb from abu Basir who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Applying perfume is of moral discipline of the Prophets and honoring the scribes (the two angels on one’s shoulders).”’
