14. Sahl ibn Ziyad has narrated from Ali ibn Ma’bad from al-Hassan ibn Ali from abu Khidash from Ali ibn ’Isma‘il from Muhammad ibn ‘Abdah al-Naysaburiy who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if a cup of wine and a cup of al-Nabidh are equal. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, they are equal.’ I then asked if the penalty is also the same. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is equal.’”
