Al-Kāfi
Hadith 1616مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي هَاشِمٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ مُكْرَمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ قَالَ أَبِي لِعَمْرِو بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ وَ بَشِيرٍ الرَّحَّالِ وَ وَاصِلٍ فِي حَدِيثٍ وَ لَا يُشْرَبُ مِنْ أُذُنِ الْكُوزِ وَ لَا مِنْ كَسْرِهِ إِنْ كَانَ فِيهِ فَإِنَّهُ مَشْرَبُ الشَّيَاطِينِ .
6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan from ‘Abd al- Rahman ibn abu Hashim from Salim ibn Mukram who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘My father once said to ‘Amr ibn ‘Ubayd, Bashir ibn al- Rahhal and Wasil in a Hadith, “Do not drink water from the ear (handle) of a bowl or its broken part if there is any, because it is the place from which Satan drinks.’””
