5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who said: "My father said, ‘The Messenger of Allah (SW) did not give in marriage any of his daughters or marry any of his wives for a mahr (dower) of more than twelve Uqiyyahs and one Nashsh. An Uqiyyah is equal to forty dirhams and a Nashsh is equal to twenty dirhams.’"
