Al-Kāfi
Hadith 8075ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) يَقُولُ الَّذِي يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ الله يُدْفَنُ فِي ثِيَابِهِ وَلاَ يُغَسَّلُ إِلاَّ أَنْ يُدْرِكَهُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ وَبِهِ رَمَقٌ ثُمَّ يَمُوتَ بَعْدُ فَإِنَّهُ يُغَسَّلُ وَيُكَفَّنُ وَيُحَنَّطُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ الله (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) كَفَّنَ حَمْزَةَ فِي ثِيَابِهِ وَلَمْ يُغَسِّلْهُ وَلَكِنَّهُ صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ.
5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ibn Mahbub ibn Sinan from Aban ibn Taghlib who has said the following: “I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ‘Those who are killed in the way of Allah are buried with their clothes without Ghusl (bath) unless Muslims find him alive and then he dies afterward, in which case Ghusl (bath), shroud and hunut are done for him. The Messenger of Allah buried Hamzah with his clothes without Ghusl (bath) but he (the Messenger of Allah) performed Salah (prayer) for him.’”
