Al-Kāfi
Hadith 15354ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِيَّاكَ وَالْتِحَافَ الصَّمَّاءِ قُلْتُ وَمَا الْتِحَافُ الصَّمَّاءِ قَالَ أَنْ تُدْخِلَ الثَّوْبَ مِنْ تَحْتِ جَنَاحِكَ فَتَجْعَلَهُ عَلَى مَنْكِبٍ وَاحِدٍ.
4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Hariz from Zurarah who has said the following: “Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Never use Iltihaf al-Samma’. I then asked, ‘What is Iltihaf al-Samma’?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is to insert clothes under your arms and secure them on one shoulder (as if placing yourself in a bag).”’
