2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn abu Nasr from Dawud ibn Sarhan from ‘Abd Allah ibn Farqad from Humran from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following: “About the words of Allah, the Majestic, the Glorious: ‘. . . it is the coloring of Allah. Who has a better color than Allah’s color?’ (2:138), the Imam said, ‘It stands for al-lslam, the religion.’”
