Al-Kāfi
Hadith 1088 7ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الاشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ مُثَنًّى عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَجْلانَ عَنْ ابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى قُلْ لا أَسْئَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْراً إِلا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبى قَالَ هُمُ الائِمَّةُ (عَلَيْهم السَّلام )
7. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Asha‘ari from Mu‘alla ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from al-Muthanna from Zurara from ‘Abdallah ibn al-‘Ajlan from abu Ja‘far (a.s.) about the words of Allah, the most High. “(Muhammad), say, “I do not ask you for any payment for my preaching to you except (your) love of(my near) relatives.. .” (42:23). The Imam (a.s.) said, “They (the relatives) are the Imams.”
