Ruling of Everything is in the Book and the Sunna

I heard him saying: there is nothing except there is about it [a ruling in the] Book or Sunna.

the book of Allāh – in it is an account of what came before you and a report of what will come after you and a judgment of what is between you (of differences) – and we do know it (all).

I said to him: is everything in the book of Allāh and the Sunnah of his prophet (sw) or do you have a say in it? he said: rather everything is in the book of Allāh and the Sunnah of the prophet (sw)
