Principle of “Whomsoever it reaches …”

whomsoever hears something about the Thawab to be got by doing a certain act and goes on to do it, then it (the Thawab mentioned) will be for him, even if it (the report conveying the Thawab) was not as had reached him…

whomsoever it reaches something about the Thawab – attributed to the prophet صلى الله عليه وآله – and he acts upon it, he will have the rewards of that, even if the messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله had not said it.
