Ali ibn al-Husayn (as) was born in the year 38 AH. He passed away in the year 95 AH at the age of 57. His mother was Salma bint Yazdegerd ibn Shahriyar ibn Shirawayh ibn Kisra Perwiz. Yazdegerd was the last Persian king.
